This post followed the recent issue where Khalizah allegedly filed for divorce from Fikry. This news shocked fans because the couple had only married last February. To recap, Khalizah appeared at the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur Syariah Court on Thursday morning, which sparked rumours that she and Fikry are divorcing. After the news broke out, Fikry appeared at his hosting gig for TV3's 'Melodi' to clarify the situation. The 31-year-old denies the separation, saying his wife's appearance at the courthouse was to retract her previous divorce filing made in May. The actor also denied allegations that the divorce filing was a marketing gimmick. Fikry then assured the public that the couple was doing fine and would continue to work together to maintain a healthy marriage. Colouring your hair can be an exciting experience, but it does come with risks. The bleaching process, in particular, can be harmful and may lead to various negative effects if not done correctly. This is why K-pop fans often express concern for their idols, as many of them change hair colour with every comeback. Even if you stick to one hair colour, the process of touching up your roots still carries some risk. Unfortunately for South Korean DJ Hwang So-hee (황소희), aka DJ SODA, her recent hair treatment didn't turn out as well as she had hoped. Earlier this week, DJ SODA posted about her recent visit to her regular hair salon to dye her hair blonde for the first time in 3 years. It was meant to be a surprise for her fans, but unfortunately, things took a turn for the worse when the salon accidentally left the bleach on for too long. 'My hair was originally thick, full, and in healthy condition thanks to a 3-year break from bleaching and consistent care. But they left the bleach on for too long, and my hair melted from the roots. In the end, I had to shave the entire back and sides of my head,' she said. The musician went on to explain that the damage was so severe, she could no longer hide it when attending events and shows. She felt devastated as her hair continued to fall out in large handfuls every day, to the point where she had trouble sleeping for two weeks. 'I cried every day. It's really hard for me to look in the mirror. When I see videos fans took of me, I feel even more heartbroken,' she added. Unfortunately, due to the extent of the damage, she was unable to get hair extensions to cover the bald spots and could only use what's left of her natural hair to conceal them. After sharing the news with her fans, many reportedly began protesting outside the hair salon. This led the management to contact DJ SODA in an attempt at damage control. However, rather than offering an apology, the company demanded that she take down the post. 'I received a message directed at my manager saying, 'I will give you 5 million won if you write a settlement agreement and take down the post.' [I want to make it clear that], even if I were offered a fortune, it cannot change my appearance now or undo the pain caused by this,' she said in a follow-up post. DJ Soda explained that the salon had offered to provide a list of hospitals (under their supervision) where she could receive hair treatment. However, despite repeated reminders, they failed to follow through on their promise. She did not disclose whether she plans to take legal action, but if her claims are true, the salon could be in serious trouble for damaging the hair of a public figure. In the creative industry, it's easy to take inspiration from dedicated artist who work hard to achieve their creative direction, and it's even easier to plagiarise them. When creating your own pieces, taking inspiration and blatantly copying another person's work walks a fine line, and if you're not careful, you might be labelled as a copycat. Yesterday (19th June 2025), TXT's (투모로우바이투게더) creative director, known as Minchae, posted a series of her past projects featuring TXT's Beomgyu (최범규) more on her Instagram stories, which netizens have speculated to be a jab at CRAVITY's (크래비티) 'Dare To Crave' new concept photos. After all the uploads, the creative director then shared a photo of a coffee cup, overlaid with the caption: 'Authenticity & sincerity.' It is known that the creative director behind CRAVITY's recent rebranding is also TXT's former visual director, who goes by the alias Rakta. After CRAVITY's 'Dare To Crave' concept photos were released on Tuesday (17th June 2025), netizens quickly pointed out striking similarities to the creative direction used in TXT Beomgyu's 'Panic' project, sparking major backlash and accusations of plagiarism. Twitter user @/crvtty commented, 'Wow… so the creative team behind CRAVITY's rebranding and Dare To Crave concept is Rakta's team? She was TXT's visual director!' Others expressed disappointment over the apparent copying of concepts, while also defending CRAVITY from direct blame. Whether you know him as Sofyank96 or by his real name, Sofian, the local visual effects (VFX) artist has certainly come a long way since his early days of content creation. With an impressive résumé that includes producing spectacular promotional videos for films and collaborations with Hollywood stars such as Paul Rudd and Tom Cruise, there's little doubt that the 28-year-old is well on his way to achieving his dream of making it big. It looks like he'll be adding another Hollywood collaboration to his portfolio. Earlier this week, the local content creator teased his followers that he was heading to the Philippines to work on a promotional video with a very 'super' actor, who is set to release his upcoming film later this year. 'I'll be flying to the Philippines to film a new collaboration with an actor from an upcoming superhero film! Any guesses who it is?' Sofian captioned a photo of himself at the airport on Instagram. With several titles announced this year, many speculated it could be either Marvel's 'Fantastic Four' or DC's 'Superman'. However, the answer was officially revealed yesterday (Thursday, 19th June). The Malaysian VFX artist posted a Reel on his Instagram, showing him walking down a street in formal attire while reading a newspaper. Suddenly, beams of light, possibly missiles, appeared in the sky, with one striking a section of the building directly above him and several civilians. Sofian sprang into action, shielding the bystanders from the falling debris with his body before flying off, as the camera panned to reveal the iconic 'S' symbol in the sky. If that wasn't obvious enough, the influencer confirmed the exciting news in his caption, writing: 'I had the opportunity to join the 'Superman' movie junket in the Philippines. Soon, I'll be filming content with Superman himself, David Corenswet. Pray that everything goes smoothly.' As expected, Malaysians expressed their excitement over Sofian's achievement, praising him for representing the country on an international stage. Some even joked that the content creator collaborating with Hollywood stars is akin to Thanos collecting the Infinity Stones in 'Avengers: Infinity War' and 'Avengers: Endgame.' Others quipped that it was Superman who was lucky to be meeting Sofian, joking that the iconic 'S' symbol actually stands for the first letter of the Malaysian star's name. Fans are counting down the days to BLACKPINK's (블랙핑크) long-awaited reunion tour 'DEADLINE', which kicks off on 5th July 2025 (Saturday). However, with just two weeks left until the first show and still no comeback, the public is starting to get cross with YG Entertainment. Recently, the agency released merchandise details for BLACKPINK's 'DEADLINE' tour pop-up in Japan. For those wondering, K-pop concerts in Japan often have a different set of merchandise than the rest of the tour. Companies will also hold pop-ups to sell more merchandise before the concert to build hype. Unfortunately, BLACKPINK's recent merchandise list had more fans disappointed than excited. As it turns out, the products for sale consisted of the usual t-shirts, caps and cheering towels with the group and the tour's logo. However, the product that angered BLINKS (BLACKPINK fans) the most was a clear bag made of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), a.k.a plastic, with the BLACKPINK logo. More shockingly, the pop-up sells the plastic bag for 2,500 yen (approximately RM74) each. Understandably, this sparked a lot of backlash for YG Entertainment. Many fans argued that the company is taking advantage of fans looking forward to BLACKPINK's comeback by jacking up prices for cheap and bland merchandise. Some also slammed the lack of consideration for the designs, quipping that the label and the tour's design team are lazy and uncreative. At the same time, fans are expressing outrage toward YG Entertainment for the lack of updates regarding the tour and BLACKPINK's comeback. Many argued that the quartet has no new music released for the tour, despite only two weeks left until the first show. While there are rumours that the group will make their comeback in early July, some lamented that it's too close to the start of the tour.
